Brief/Overview:

HRA Planning was engaged by Kildare County Council to undertake an audit of existing social infrastructure within the town of Leixlip in order to inform a Council proposal to provide increased residential land use zoning within that settlement.

The audit, which included interactive public consultation and spatial analysis of proximity and quantity of social infrastructure and a projection of future needs relative to its population, has since informed significant planning decisions. It has been used to inform land use zoning provisions and developer interests in respect of existing and planning infrastructure capacity necessary to support future residential developments including; education/training, childcare, health, sports & recreation, social and community services, arts).
