Meath County Council Settlement Plans for
Small Growth Towns

Brief/Overview:

HRA Planning was retained to prepare 7 no. settlement plans throughout County Meath, including the towns of Athboy, Duleek, East Meath, Enfield, Oldcastle, Ratoath and Stamullen. The settlement plans were prepared to form part of the review of the statutory Meath County Development Plan.

Input by HRA PLANNING included:

  • Evaluation of growth potential of the towns
  • Land audits and formulation of land use zoning plans, and development boundaries
  • Social and public infrastructure audits
  • Preparation of planning policy and objectives.
Project Outcome:

HRA PLANNING successfully delivered those Plans demonstrating expertise in formulation of statutory settlement policy and land use zoning objectives consistent with the requirements of the Planning and Development Act 2000.
